Dr. Jennifer Nyman is a Principal at Geosyntec’s San Francisco Bay Area branch with more than 17 years of experience in the characterization and remediation of groundwater and sediment. Dr. Nyman has served as program and project manager, technical expert, and technical lead on some of the nation’s largest and most complex sites, including addressing the detection, treatment, and requirements for emerging contaminants, and leading regulatory interactions and negotiations with EPA and various state and local agencies. She led a national technical group developing and implementing best practices for MNA remedies, supervising the closure of dozens of sites in association with MNA evaluations. Dr. Nyman’s Ph.D. research focused on mixed-contaminant remediation and other groundwater issues related to the world’s largest environmental management program, the DOE nuclear weapons legacy.
